Expertise
Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, Nikki is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Nurses Association and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, among other organizations. She also has certifications in advanced cardiac life support and basic life support and is a certified nurse educator through the National League for Nursing.
Nikki retired as a lieutenant colonel in the United States Army Nurse Corps, after 20 years of dedicated service. As a family nurse practitioner, she has 13 years of extensive experience in the diagnosis, treatment and management of acute and chronic illnesses in patients of all ages. She recently served as a family nurse practitioner at the Medical University of South Carolina Health Urgent Care in Elgin, South Carolina.
Background
Nikki graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and earned a master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. She went on to achieve a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She also has a post-graduate certificate as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio.
