Dr. Derrick is the best doctor that I have ever had. She does not know I am saying this and she never solicited any feedback from me; however, she is. She listens, is attentive, does not rush through my appointment, and has a terrific bedside manner. The entire staff is nice, friendly; however, I don't know the rest of their names. They are the best.
Marisa Gentry is an angel, she saved my husbands life, Excellence in Diagnosing. We are all her patients My Mama,Daughter, Husband and [...] old aunt. She is very patient and kind!

Haydn and her Nurse Asst were very attentive and responsive towards my request for a GYN referral. Anytime I meet with them, they check my BP and we discuss how my home readings compare to the office's. Together we make adjustments to my meds as needed to not make it so overwhelming to me. We take a cautious approach to medicine adjustments, which I appreciate.
I love my NP !! She listens, she explains what she needs to, and she is very thorough!! Her nurse is phenomenal also! Those two special ladies are the reason I keep going to the Irmo office!!

Dr Derrick has a great team. After sending a message by My Chart , the response is almost instant. It's not the usual 24-48 hour response. Dr Derrick is a great listener and never rushes you in and out.

Michelle is always thorough and considerate when handling my medical issues and concerns. She is so patient and really makes me feel like she hears me and she understands . The new AI technology is different and felt like she was still trying to go about things as usual but the need to speak in a way so that AI transcription could understand did make the appointment feel different. I understand that new technology is the wave of the future and I am sure the appointments will go back to feeling seamless once she has had more is of the AI. Totally not her fault! As soon as seven days before an appointment, you can complete eCheck-in through MyChart. You can update information and electronically sign documents before your appointment to make the check-in process faster.
Arrive 15 minutes before your appointment.
Come early to update any necessary information. If you arrive more than 10 minutes after your appointment time, we may ask you to reschedule.
Let us know as soon as possible if you have to cancel.
Please do your best to cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment. If you cancel three times without advance notice, we may dismiss you from our practice.
Payment will be due at the time of your appointment.
Payment is due the day of service, including copayments, coinsurance and any other charges. If your care isn't covered by insurance, you are entitled to a 50% discount.

Prescription Refills
Call and leave a message with your name, date of birth, prescription and strength, along with your doctor’s name and your pharmacy’s name and number. Allow one to two business days for us to process the refill. We won't contact you about the request unless there is a problem.
We cannot refill some prescriptions.
You may be required to see your provider before we can refill your medication. We also do not accept refill requests from local or mail-order pharmacies—you must request these refills.
Lab/Test Results
You can receive timely notifications and view lab results from tests you’ve had done through MyChart. Test results should be available within 7 to 10 business days.
Allow up to 7 days for your referral to go through. Once it does, our office or the specialist's office will call you with your appointment information. If you make your own appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so we can obtain any prior authorizations that may be required.
Forms
Due to the volume of forms we process, please allow up to 10 business days for us to complete them. There may also be a charge for completing your form, or your provider may require that you come in for an office visit for assistance in completing your form.
Immunization Records
Please allow up to two business days on all immunization record requests. If you must call our office for an immunization record, you may be asked to leave a message with the patient’s name, birth date, and contact phone number.
School/Work Excuses
School/work excuses will be issued at the provider’s discretion only when the patient has had an appointment.
Questions for Your Care Team
You can exchange messages with your providers and read doctor’s notes from recent visits in MyChart. Keep messages short and to the point. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
After hours there will be an on-call provider who will be available for urgent needs that cannot wait until the next business day. If an emergency occurs after hours, please have paper, pencil and pharmacy phone number available. Prescription refills will not be handled by the on-call provider nor will pain medications, controlled substances or antibiotics be prescribed to your pharmacy.
