Dr Derrick has always been easy to talk with and I feel she is genuinely concerned for my well-being. She takes time to talk to me about my concerns or if I have questions about ‘little things’ she takes time to address them with me and that means a lot. She has a great bedside manner. A lot of doctors are more concerned about the # of patients they see in a day and it just should not be that way. But I get it—insurance dictates the medical profession and it should not. I’m lucky to have Dr. Derrick as my internist!

Dr. Derrick treated patients and provided acute and chronic disease management at University Primary Care in Aiken, South Carolina. Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, she is also a member of the South Carolina Medical Association.Background
A cum laude graduate of the University of South Carolina in Columbia, Dr. Derrick graduated summa cum laude with her medical degree from the University of Sint Eustatius School of Medicine in the Netherlands-Antilles.
She also earned a bachelor’s degree in medical sciences, graduating magna cum laude, and a bachelor’s degree in hyperbaric medicine from the University of Sint Eustatius School of Medicine. She then completed her internal medicine residency at Louisiana State University in Lafayette, Louisiana and received its Residency Academic Achievement Award.
