Expertise

He did his Internal Medicine Training at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine from 1993 to 1996. Following this, Dr. Lal served his Fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina, Division of Hematology and Oncology, in Charleston, SC. He remained on faculty at the Medical University until 2003.

Dr. Lal joined the staff of Lexington Oncology in 2003. Dr. Lal is certified in Hematology and Oncology. He is a licensed member of the South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners and the Medical Council of India. He is a current member of a variety of medical societies including the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.

Background

Dr. Lal completed his undergraduate studies at the University College of Medical Sciences in India, earning a Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Medicine receiving his MD degree in 1991. He served his Internship at the University College of Medical Sciences in India in 1991 and his Residency at the University College of Medical Sciences and G.T.B Hospital in India in 1992.
