Background

A graduate of Calhoun Honors College at Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina, with a bachelor’s degree in biology, Dr. Wilkins earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He then completed his residency at AnMed Health in Anderson, South Carolina, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Wilkins most recently cared for patients of all ages at Lexington Family Practice Irmo.

Leadership

Dr. Wilkins is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the South Carolina Medical Association.

Medical Research

During his residency at AnMed Health, Dr. Wilkins pursued additional training in musculoskeletal ultrasound and conducted a research study on prolotherapy in Achilles tendonitis.
