About Dr. Pride

Dr. Pride provides comprehensive orthopaedic care to patients in the Midlands. 

Expertise

Board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Pride has additional certifications as a community health advocate trainer and a clinical exercise physiologist. He also has additional training in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound with and without therapeutic injections, fracture management, concussion management, regenerative medicine, biomechanics and biomechanical evaluations, exercise and nutrition prescription, and preventive medicine.

In addition to completing his sports medicine fellowship, Dr. Pride conducted sports physicals for athletes of all ages and provided sporting event medical coverage for numerous high schools, Lander University in Greenwood and Erskine University in Due West, South Carolina. He most recently cared for patients as an urgent care physician at Express Medical Care in Greenwood.

Dr. Pride is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.

Background

Dr. Pride graduated summa cum laude from Mississippi State University in Starkville with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and clinical exercise physiology and earned his medical degree at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He then completed a family medicine residency, earning its Outstanding Sports Medicine Resident Award, and a sports medicine fellowship at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, South Carolina.
