About Dr. Ahmad

A member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association and the Society of Hospital Medicine, Dr. Ahmad has specific interests in diabetes management and geriatric medicine, including capacity evaluations, inpatient consultations, transitions of care and goals of care planning.

Expertise

Dr. Ahmad graduated cum laude with her bachelor’s degree in biology from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta and earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania.

She then completed her internal medicine residency at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, Georgia, gaining extensive experience in a variety of patient care settings, creating diagnostic and therapeutic plans and managing patients from admission through discharge. During her residency, she also served on the Women In Medicine and Wellness committees.
