About Dr. Perry

Dr. Perry provides patients with the highest level of care in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart and vascular diseases.

Expertise

Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Perry most recently completed his fellowships, where he gained extensive experience performing adult invasive diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures, as well as received additional training and education to diagnose and treat cardiovascular diseases, congenital heart conditions and structural heart conditions. During this time, he also served as a member of the House Staff Council for Graduation Medical Education at the University of Florida, a member of its Clinical Case Conference Planning Committee for the Division of Cardiology and a Fellow Selection Committee member. In addition, he was a founding member of the Cardiology Fellow/Resident Research Group at the University of Florida and a member of a cardiology intensive care committee, collaborating with nursing and physician leadership to optimize care by examining cardiac patient outcomes, complications and current care strategies.

Background

Dr. Perry graduated from the University of South Carolina Aiken with bachelor’s degrees in biology and exercise and sports science and earned his medical degree from the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine in Dothan. He then completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Dr. Perry went on to complete a cardiovascular medicine fellowship, serving as chief fellow, and an interventional cardiology fellowship there. The Department of Medicine at the University of Florida also named him “Fellow of the Year” in recognition of his exemplary leadership and teaching.
