About Dr. Richardson

Expertise

He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians with certifications in advanced cardiovascular and pediatric advanced life support. He has extensive experience in the diagnosis, treatment and management of acute and chronic conditions in patients of all ages. He also gained experience in musculoskeletal medicine, in-office procedures and maternity care during his residency and served as an exercise physiologist for nearly 10 years before completing medical school. In this role, he helped patients improve their health by assessing their fitness levels and creating custom exercise programs.

Background

Dr. Richardson graduated from the University of South Carolina in Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and received a graduate certificate in biomedical sciences from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia. He then earned his medical degree from the USC School of Medicine and completed his family medicine residency at Prisma Health Midlands in Columbia, South Carolina.
