About Dr. Short

JP Short, DO, provides comprehensive care to patients with acute injuries and illnesses.

Expertise

Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine, Dr. Short has additional certifications in advanced cardiovascular life support, advanced trauma life support, basic life support and pediatric advanced life support. He more than 20 years of experience providing acute and emergency medical services to patients of all ages and previously served as an emergency medicine physician at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, South Carolina, and as owner of Barboursville Urgent Care in Barboursville, West Virginia.

Background

Dr. Short graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia and received his medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg. He then completed his residency at Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling, West Virginia.
