New patient. I called that morning and they had availability so I went in. No issues. Just needed a preventive exam for health insurance purposes. She didn't try to force me to take vaccinations or do bloodwork. Didn't make me come back for another visit. I'm scheduled next year for my annual again. Nice personality is a bonus. Everyone I came in contact with was professional and friendly!! I hit the jackpot!

My first visit to this Practice . Dr. Melsom was great! Listened, heard and addressed all my questions and concerns. One of the best doctors and staff I've had the good fortune to visit. The communication was excellent and they made me feel so comfortable and cared for. The nurse and front desk staff were very nice - professional , polite and friendly. I highly recommend the Lexington Family Practice - Old Cherokee .

Dr. Emily Melsom is the most compassionate PCP I’ve ever seen! She always makes me feel heard and understood. She is also very well versed in my complex medical conditions which also includes a Chronic disease. I recommend her to everyone I know and am so glad I finally found a doctor who listens AND follows through! Dr. Melsom is extremely prompt with her responses to any question myself or my family has regarding my care. She really is the best!
