About Elaine Bishop
Elaine has nearly 20 years of direct patient care experience and is a past recipient of the prestigious Palmetto Gold and Lexington Health Gold awards, recognizing excellence in nursing practice and commitment to the profession. She most recently completed the Lexington Health Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship, treating patients with acute and chronic illnesses and injuries while conducting specialty rotations that included pulmonology, cardiology, rheumatology and pediatrics, among other specialties.
Background
A native of Lexington, South Carolina, Elaine graduated from Lander University in Greenwood, South Carolina. After completing her bachelor’s degree in nursing, she earned a Master of Science in nursing from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Elaine is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Nurses Association and the South Carolina Nurses Association. In addition to her board certification as a family nurse practitioner, she has certifications in cardiac-vascular nursing, basic life support and advanced cardiac life support.
