I am a transgender person seeking out a new primary care physician. This is a daunting task on its own, especially in the south, made more intimidating since I needed a new prescriber for my hormone replacement therapy. All care providers were respectful of my preferred name, and the doctor was respectful of my preferred pronouns. He listened to my concerns and agreed to prescribe me my hormone replacement therapy. As transgender people’s access to medical care erodes across the nation, this work is pivotal.
Additionally, the care providers took my concerns about my chronic pain seriously and took action to address it. I have been dismissed by so many who write off my symptoms as psychosomatic, which may prove true in the long run, but that does not mean that the pain is not real and worthy of proper interventions.

He disregarded my input, leading me to feel that my perspective on my health was not valued. His demeanor was characterized by rudeness, condescension, and a highly argumentative approach. Furthermore, he exhibited a lack of empathy during this interaction. My feelings were truly hurt.

In all my doctor visits, I have never received such great care. Dr. Moore was very attentive and knowledgeable about my health. He shared information with me that was reflective in my bloodwork over the last ten plus years that no other doctor took the time to share with me. Great addition to the staff.

I can tell from just my first appointment that Dr. Christian Moore really cares about people and loves his job. He is very well educated but beyond that he has common sense which I think is very important in his profession. Every question I had was fully answered and I was pleasantly surprised that I got bloodwork done in the same day of my first appointment. Very very satisfied with my care!

Dr Moore seemed very different from other doctors as he wanted to explain and identify your specific health problems/situations rather than just treat your symptims. He was extremely insistent of my understanding of my health condition with a different perspective than I’ve had before.
I’m looking forward to see how I progress. I had already made some life style changes and Dr Moore seemed to fit into them nicely.

Dr. Moore provides comprehensive, individualized care for adults of all ages.
Dr. Moore has extensive experience in providing adult primary care services, including treatment of acute illnesses and injuries, chronic disease management and preventive care, as well as subspecialty training to expand his clinical expertise. During his residency, he was also inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society for exemplifying humanistic patient care, compassionate leadership and dedication to service.
Background
Dr. Moore graduated with a bachelor’s degree in government from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, and earned a post-baccalaureate certificate in biomedical science from the University of South Carolina in Columbia. He went on to receive his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and complete an internal medicine residency at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.
