Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Szolek has additional certifications in advanced cardiovascular and basic life support with extensive experience in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases affecting adults, including management of complicated and critically ill patients. She recently served as a hospitalist at Mountain Emergency Physicians in Hickory, North Carolina.

Background

Dr. Szolek graduated from the University of South Carolina in Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences and earned her medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She then completed her residency at Coliseum Medical Centers in Macon, Georgia, where she was chief resident.
