Kelsey was excellent in every way . She was courteous, attentive , pleasant and and engaging. She asked many questions and listened to everything that I had to say . NP Darden is an excellent health care provider. She was a pleasant, and knowledgeable health care provider and answered all my questions. I did not feel rushed at all as her attention was on me. That is very rare. She’s a great addition to Harbison Medical Associates.

I selected Kelsey Darden as my primary caregiver because of her background previously working at the Lexmed Heart and Vascular Center as I have had a small heart attack. After several visits with her a new serious illness , I have been very thankful for her level of care. She works very closely with me and my new condition. I have been a patient there for many years and I do think that things have gotten better with communication with the doctors and their staff. My last visits have been very good, so I would highly recommend them. some one usually answers if you call and if they don't they return your call very prompt and that is very imporant to me.Everyone on the staff from out front to checkout are wonderful as are the doctors and their staffs. I feel very comfortable going there.

I felt very comfortable with Kelsey she took time with me i was supposed to be seen for a first appointment but hurt my left arm and was in a lot of pain , she knew just what to do , treated me with respect, sent me for an expat gave me prescription and made another app in a few weeks I think i hav finally found the right one

She did Rapid Fire questions, at begin, seem real interested in meds I were take, though I wasn't complain about that, I was new patient & no basic labs were done, I didn't have to wait very long! I was greeted (and other after me) when I walked in.

Kelsey provides comprehensive care to families in the Irmo area.
Expertise
Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Kelsey has additional certifications in advanced cardiac life support and basic life support. She has more than 12 years of experience providing direct patient care, including six years as a nurse practitioner in family medicine and cardiology. Kelsey recently cared for patients at Lexington Health Heart and Vascular Center in West Columbia, performing comprehensive histories and exams on patients with cardiac conditions, developing and implementing plans of care, prescribing and titrating medications, and coordinating appropriate follow-up care. She also educated patients and families on the importance of medication adherence and lifestyle modifications to manage chronic cardiac conditions.
Background
Kelsey graduated summa cum laude from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina, with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where she also achieved summa cum laude honors. She then completed the Nurse Practitioner Fellowship Program at Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, South Carolina, specializing in the diagnosis, treatment and management of acute and chronic conditions in patients of all ages.
