About Kelsey

Kelsey provides comprehensive care to families in the Irmo area.

Expertise

Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Kelsey has additional certifications in advanced cardiac life support and basic life support. She has more than 12 years of experience providing direct patient care, including six years as a nurse practitioner in family medicine and cardiology. Kelsey recently cared for patients at Lexington Health Heart and Vascular Center in West Columbia, performing comprehensive histories and exams on patients with cardiac conditions, developing and implementing plans of care, prescribing and titrating medications, and coordinating appropriate follow-up care. She also educated patients and families on the importance of medication adherence and lifestyle modifications to manage chronic cardiac conditions.

Background

Kelsey graduated summa cum laude from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina, with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where she also achieved summa cum laude honors. She then completed the Nurse Practitioner Fellowship Program at Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, South Carolina, specializing in the diagnosis, treatment and management of acute and chronic conditions in patients of all ages.
