Expertise

Dr. Stevens is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine, with additional certifications in stroke assessment, advanced cardiovascular life support and basic life support. He has extensive experience in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases affecting adults, including management of complicated and critically ill patients, with specific interests in endocrinology, geriatrics, palliative care, obesity medicine and critical care. He recently served as a hospitalist with MidMichigan Physicians Group, caring for patients at MyMichigan Medical Center hospitals in Midland, Gladwin, Clare and Standish.

Background

Dr. Stevens graduated from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor with a bachelor’s degree in biology and German and earned his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing. He then completed his internal medicine residency at McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mount Clemons, Michigan.
