Expectant parents will learn the basics of caring for mother and baby after delivery. Topics include:
- Newborn characteristics
- Bathing and feeding your newborn
- What to expect as a new mother
Understanding Breastfeeding (Online or In-Person)

This class provides education and support for breastfeeding mothers. Topics include:
- Advantages of breastfeeding
- What to expect at the hospital
- Pumping and going back to work
- Managing breastfeeding difficulties
- Choosing a pediatrician
Understanding Cesarean Birth (Online Only)
This online course teaches moms and dads about the different types and causes for cesarean births. Looking for the signs of labor, how to prepare for surgery, breastfeeding and recovering from the surgery, along with other topics.
This online course is about 3 hours and you will have access for 9 months, so you can view as many times as needed. Once you have registered, an email with the codes and information to set up your InJoy account will be sent to you within 2-3 days.
Understanding Infant & Child Safety (Online Only)
This online course informs you of safety measures that are needed at home and away from home to keep your little one safe.
Super Sibling

Children ages 3 to 10 learn basic safety and care for their new sibling. This class includes:
- Tours of the Mother/Baby and Newborn departments
- Information on how to manage sibling rivalry
- Tips on how to welcome a new baby
Infant/Child CPR Class (In-Person)

Parents will learn how to perform cardiopulmonary resucitation (CPR) and how to respond to a choking child or infant. Participants receive a certificate of completion. There is no written test.
Safe Sitter

Young teens will get hands-on practice with emergency skills for when they're home alone watching younger siblings or babysitting. Topics Include:

Helping Pregnant Mothers - CNP & LMC Foundation (Online Only)

Lexington Medical Center is happy to provide 2 online or eClasses to help you prepare for the birth of your little one. The 2 online classes provided, will allow you and your partner to learn more and prepare for breastfeeding your newborn. The other class will provide information on how to take care of a newborn. You will have access to these classes for 9 months and can watch them as many times as needed. You can watch with family or in the comfort of your home.
They answered all my first-time mom questions. I knew my baby boy was in the best place he could be.
