About Dr. Taylor

Marcia Taylor, MD, FAAFP provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages.

Expertise

Dr. Taylor is board certified in family medicine and is licensed by the South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners. A fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, she also serves on the board of directors for the South Carolina Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Taylor most recently provided primary and urgent care services at Lexington Medical Center’s community medical center in Gilbert.

Background

She is a summa cum laude graduate of Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and biology, Marcia Taylor, MD, MSCR, FAAFP, earned her medical degree with magna cum laude honors from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia. She then completed her residency at the USC School of Medicine. After finishing her family medicine residency, Dr. Taylor earned a master’s degree in clinical research from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and completed a family medicine faculty development fellowship there. 

Prior to joining the hospital’s network of care, she was an assistant professor for the Department of Family Medicine at MUSC.
