She then trained at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center Eye Clinic in Huntington, West Virginia, and The Ohio State University Student Health Eye Clinic in the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases.
Leadership
A diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, Dr. Spittler is a member of the South Carolina Optometric Physician Association and previously served on its board of directors. She is a past president of the Midlands Optometric Society and has been a member of the American Optometric Association for more than 30 years.
