This was my first visit with Dr. Liu, and everything was absolutely top notch. He and his staff were professional, attentive, and made the entire experience seamless. I felt well cared for from start to finish and would highly recommend his practice.

Dr. Liu is my new doctor because my doctor retired. I absolutely think he and his staff are wonderful! He is very personable and also explains everything in detail that I understand. If I have any questions when I leave his staff always answer any questions. I would definitely recommend.

Dr. Liu and his assistant nurse were both exceptional. I will recommend them to family and friends. Dr. Liu is very thorough and identified a life threatening issue. Because of his thorough assessment and after lab results were available, he instructed me to go to seek emergency care immediately which saved my life.

I followed Dr Liu and assistant to his new office. They are two of the most caring, thorough and calm individuals I've ever encountered, especially in this era of cold, detached individuals who see it as a clock in/clock out job. It is very much a calling and these two people's attitudes very much reflect that vibe. There are two different changes in our care - both Dr Liu and assistant are VERY relaxed and also even the front office staff are calm and welcoming.

Jason Lieu is not my regular doctor. Jason did a good job of listening to my issues and explaining prescribed course of treatments. My only negative is that Jason does not seem very comfortable with patients....he seemed really anxious and nervous with initial introductions.

Dr Xinlu Liu is very thorough when he conducts his assessments. I like how he listens to your concerns and tries to address and explains it the best way he can. He orders laboratories that are essential to your concern and explains the results to you and provides necessary health education.

Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Liu is a member of the American Medical Association and the South Carolina Medical Association. He is also a fellow of the American College of Physicians with extensive experience providing comprehensive care for acute and chronic illnesses in adults of all ages.

Background
Dr. Liu graduated from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, with a bachelor’s degree in engineering and earned a master’s degree in biomedical sciences from the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio. He then earned a medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine and completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Toledo Medical Center.
He recently served as an internist at Prisma Health Midlands Medical Group in Columbia, South Carolina, and as clinical assistant professor for the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia.
